Foam Chamber

Foam chambers are specifically engineered for use on fixed roof and internal floating roof storage tanks, providing effective fire suppression and vapor sealing protection.

During a fire event, the foam chamber discharges expanded foam directly onto the liquid surface, suppressing flames by cutting off oxygen supply and controlling vapor release. The system is also designed to prevent the escape of flammable vapors through a vapor seal function.

A foam chamber unit consists of a foam maker, foam discharge outlet, and a vapor seal assembly. These components are integrated into a single compact unit to ensure efficient operation and reliable performance.

According to NFPA 11, foam chambers are classified as Type II discharge devices. They deliver low-expansion foam directly onto the fuel surface with minimal agitation and mixing, ensuring effective coverage and extinguishing performance.
